Elastek® guarantees its roof coating products because we manufacture only the best. Our products undergo rigorous testing in the lab and in real-world situations. Below is our Limited Service Life Warranty.
Elastek® Limited Service Life Warranty
Structural Elastomeric Products (SEPI) warrants to the property owner that its Elastek roof coatings will provide up to 10 years of solar protection to the roof system from the first date of product purchase, based on the following schedule of coats applied-Two (2) topcoats: #114 The Shield – 4 yrs; #109 Solar Magic – 5 years; #100 Solar Mastic – 6 years; #120 Solar Tek Extreme – 7 years; #127 Solar One - 8 years. Three (3) topcoats: #100 Solar Mastic – 8 years; #120 Solar Tek Extreme – 10 years; #127 Solar One -11 years. No primers, basecoats, asphalt emulsions, or other coatings are normally required.
Property owner must retain detailed proof of coatings purchased and square feet of roof coated to substantiate warranty qualification.
Each coat of Elastek topcoat must be applied uniformly at the minimum rate of 100 sq. ft. per gallon, 500 sq. ft. per 5-gallons, over the entire roof surface strictly following Elastek’s application instructions. Warranty covers only approved residential roofs with minimum 5° or 1″ in 12″ slope. Warranty does not apply to areas on roofs with standing water or drainage problems. At the time of coating, roof membrane must have remaining service life and be in good repair. Warranty applies to original property owner only.
In the event the roof substrate becomes visible due to de-lamination or erosion of the coating during the warranty period, the property owner must immediately notify SEPI by sending or faxing a written explanation and proof of purchase receipts to SEPI, 3700 S. Palo Verde Road, Tucson, AZ 85713. On substantiation of the claim, SEPI, as its sole liability and the property owner’s exclusive remedy, will provide sufficient replacement product to repair all affected areas. SEPI is not obligated to pay the cost of application for any replacement products. Repairs do not extend the warranty period.
Exclusions to warranty:
Routine coating maintenance repairs; damage arising out of failure to apply coating in accordance with our instructions; natural disasters and acts of nature; roof traffic, roof mounted equipment, leaking water, shifting or swelling of the roofing system; moisture intrusion; destructive chemicals; plants/trees; and roof debris; applications to moisture permeated foam; failure of previously applied coating; acts and causes beyond our control; negligence; misuse of the product; the application of non-Elastek products over our coatings; and cosmetic changes in coating appearance.
SEPI is not liable in any respect for damage to the building, components, or contents due to any form of mold, mildew, mycotoxins, or byproducts produced or released by fungi. SEPI is not liable for property damage, interruption in building use, or personal injury claims resulting from alleged mold growth. Any water leakage must be repaired immediately.
Because there are extenuating factors involving weather, the condition of the roof prior to application, the proper repair of defects, the dilution of coatings, and the actual way our products are applied, there is no warranty for finished work expressed or implied. The manufacturer is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from State to State.
