Puddle Plaster

• Sizes: 5 gallon
• Colors: Black
• Features: Thick, black emulsion product for filling low areas that pond water. Lightweight, easy-to-apply, effective, and water resistant. Apply at maximum 1/2-inch depth per coat and allow to dry between applications. Trowel application. Requires topcoat.

505 Puddle Plaster™

Elastek #505 Puddle Plaster™ is a roof puddle-filler emulsion. A thick, paste-like, black reinforced coating containing plasticized-asphalt emulsion, fiberglass, and a thick, lightweight filler. Puddle Plaster is designed for use as a non-permanent means of reducing the depth of roof depressions thereby reducing the potential for ponding water.

About Puddle Plaster

Can be used in scupper areas, around drains and valleys, and in low areas expected to trap water. Will not re-emulsify in ponding water. Once cured, this emulsion is hard, durable, and weathers well. See our Ponding Water Problems bulletin.

• Heavy-duty black, reinforced base coating containing asphalt and a special synthetic rubber in an emulsion form with a thick, light-weight filler added. In cases of serious roof water ponding, the elimination of such ponds through proper roofing practice is always preferable to using Puddle Plaster.
• Puddle Plaster should be coated with an Elastek top coating to fill any pin-holes and to protect from sun damage. Usually will not discolor white roof coating. May be used over most existing asphalt roofing.
• Apply with putty knife or trowel. See our How To Apply Roof Coatings bulletin. Covers an area approx. 4′ x 4′ x 1/2″ thick.
